An optimised, homogenous elastic layer directly underneath the pitch surface is thus indispensable. This not only achieves permanent elasticity of the pitch system, but also ensures an open, evenly flat surface to the pitch. The inbuilt anti-compaction effect of the elastic layer (Polytan ACS - Anti Compaction System) reliably prevents compaction of the infill material.
Throughout its lifetime, the playing surface retains the characteristics of a newly-laid pitch, with practically no tail-off in performance.
